Been dying to do a WTF post...

Going to Swinley Forest tomorrow ; never been before & need to do some tyre swapping today anyway so which would be most suitable?

Maxxis Shortys
Bonty XR4s or
Conti Trail/Mountain kings

Trail King, Swinley rides well most of the year. No need for anything heavy duty.

Fastest rolling ones, it's mostly hardpack. Some fireroad so were a bit of a bog when I was there a few weeks back. I ride it on racing Ralph's and it isn't the tyres holding me back.

Something like Ralphs work there in the depths of winter. It's bone dry at the moment so you could go even slicker.

25c 700cc tyres will do. Swinley is mostly hardpack and smooth. you can get away with anything.

Cokie is right after seeing a cyclocross bike doing a full lap a couple of weeks ago. Personally I prefer Ralphs on a hardtail mtb
