What tyre lever are people using for really tight tyre / rim combos. Last time we changed tyres both of our larger plastic levers broke, several layers of knuckle skin were lost and someone that tried to help in a LBS chipped a brand new carbon rim.
Only thing I've seen that might work is the

Any ideas folks or has anyone any experience of this one? I'm very cautious on this given one rim is already damaged.
Also use liberal quantities of talcum powder, works as a lube & worked a treat on my rims whichhad a similar experience to you.
Liquid soap is all you need. Lube up your rim....................and the tyre bead and hey presto, any tyre lever will work
Thanks - some good tips here. For hookless rims it seems the tyre lever needs quite a big hook on it and lots of leverage (or maybe I just don't have enough hand strength). OH was similarly buggered with it.
TBH I'm dreading changing tyres or getting a flat because it was such a mare.
