A lot of mabie shut as well as its getting re done in places and also harvesting so the fc have de toured a lot as well. its not ruining the trail its just in case you get run over on the connecting fire roads. the blue is all open though if its family riding your wanting

Definately not Stainburn.

Where you travelling from ? surely there must be other au naturale trails you can try if you dont want to revisit centres?

Stay local? Must be tons of stuff you can do closer to home, save the money you would have spent on fuel and go for a nice pub lunch instead ๐Ÿ™‚

Hebbers/Tod?

Sod Mabie. Go to Glentress if you want to sit in the car for 3 hours each way.

Gisburn is obviously quite good. Hope trail is ok. Not worth going just for that though.

Llandegla isn't mentioned. Hour'ish away, all rideable by a novice but the fun goes to 11 if you can ride a bit.

OK. Mabie is rubbish. There are rumours about the secret stuff being ace but thats no use to you I guess. Glentress is brilliant and probably do-able in a day/worth it. Dalbeattie is good but not worth a day trip from here.

Llandegla is close and ok if you're into fast jumpy trails. Penmachno is another 45 minutes away and more XC but good. CyB is another 30 minutes beyond that and like GT, is on the limit of what I'd do in a day trip personally as, like GT, theres too much to ride in a single day.

Llandegla. Nothing better for a day out for mixed abilities and stamina. Your mother won't spend all day pushing/carrying the bike, there's nothing too technical on the red, but you can make it as hard as want by keeping your hands off the brakes, there's lots of bits for you to session if the others want a breather, decent cafe.

Code y brenin or glentress if its for a weekend, both offer enjoyable trails for all of you to ride, that and they have the best facilities at the trail heads (showers, coffee and cake).

Coed y Brenin isn't too far from Rochdale looking at some of the distances you (parents) are prepared to travel for just a days riding.

I wouldnt have thought it would be more than 1hr 30 away, its only a couple of hours from Bradford.

Send your Mum over here, she sounds like my sort of riding companion, 'cos I just do what I can, too.
Not being able to ride everything, you understand ๐Ÿ˜†
