Hi,

I have a pair of 2007 (100-140) Fox Talas RLC forks currently with TF Tuned. They have just informed me that the TALAS rod is scored which may(?) have caused damage to internal seals.

Now, this rod can't be replaced so my options are..

1. Replace internals with TALAS 3 internals, cost £300

2. Have the seals changed and hope they last a while, cost £100

3. Cut my losses and sell the forks as spares. Lowers and uppers are mint, steerer cut at 195mm, all hardware also mint. Everything perfect apart from the TALAS unit.
Now, does anyone have any idea how much these would be worth? Someone must want a perfect set of uppers/lowers?

Finally, any great deals on 120mm forks anywhere at the moment?

Cheers

Stan

4) buy a pair of Talas forks with knackered stanchions and whip the internal gubbins out?

I have a set of 2005 TALAS R forks with said knackered stanchions sitting in the garage - but these are 90 to 130 travel so not sure if any good to you? - was thinking of selling as they don't leak oil and the TALAS system works fine...

Can you convert them to Floats?

Give Loco Tuning a bell.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I'll give loco a bell tomorrow but as this is the second issue I've had with these I'm leaning towards cutting my losses.

Reckon these will be on ebay shortly (with an honest decription) and I'll get myself something a bit simpler to service...

Unless anyone fancies making me an offer?

Thanks again...

Stan

UPDATE

Xiphon, I owe you a beer mate. Loco will fit Float internals and give the forks a full service for £110 quid!

Sorted - Thanks for the tip...
