Any ideas? It's pissing down, my knees are feeling worryingly knackered and it's been a crap week at work. I don't drink nor engage in pharmaceuticals so getting out of it is not an option.

A Tesco bike voucher for the best suggestion.

Fire up the Xbox and catch up on some gaming! Or get a couple of DVDs and spend the weekend watching films; and even with knackered knees you should be able to go swimming for the sport fix ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Sort out your knees (see umpteen previous threads on this and other forums). FWIW, I fixed mine by getting the angle of the cleats right.

2. Buy a rain coat.

3. Go out for a ride. It'll be nasty for the first mile or so, but then you'll get all hot and sweaty and want to take your coat off again.

4. Take off your coat. Enjoy!

Second the XBox. I got up at 6 to ride, couldn't find my lights, couldn't be arsed with the rain so I turned on the xbox and wasted two hours on the couch instead of on the road.

Paddle!! when its raining and the trails are slick - I still enjoy them muddy but it is different and a bit of a faff- we go kayaking, where the more rain the better. Two years ago we paddled nearly every weekend, one of the best 'grim' winters I have ever had.

I'll pass on the babysitting, thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰

Off to buy a new waterproof as the old one is worn out from dendix-rubbing (dry ski slopes) and is a bit baggy from weight loss! Prize goes to Lionheart - that looks like a damned good hobby for wet winter days. Now I wonder if there are any kayaking clubs on the River Taff .....

Methinks a dawn runaround Cwmcarn may be in order tomorrow.
