You could buy an italian threaded shimano un72 bb off me and see if it fits? ๐

I think it depends on the frame, most are british, which frame is it?.

the easy way to tell is to look at the threads. english bb's do up the same way as the pedals rotate, italian bb's are threaded the same all the way through so the thread on the driveside un-does the same way as crank rotation.

The frame is a Unica.
I haven't taken the BB out yet. I figured if the answer was straightforward I'd buy a new one and then do the swap.

if it's new or a couple of years old then it's probably english.
