[Closed] What size (diameter) are Rock Shox all-travel spacers?

Right, I've just picked up a pair of bargain Recons (solo air) and want to do some serious fettling with the travel. Naturally they didn't come with any all-travel spacers. I've seen folks report that they have used nylon washers of the right size instead of the pukka spacers, and for what I'm doing that sounds just fine. However, rather than open the forks up & lose the oil everywhere in order to measure up it would be much easier to be able to have a handful to hand before I start the spannering.

So, does anyone know what size internal (& external I guess) diameter spacers I need?

Hi RD.i upped the travel on my 06 recon351sl solo air from 100 to 120
The spacer inside was 37mm so took it out (travel 137)so i chopped 20mm of it and got a full 120 travel.
there oem forks of my spesh fsrxc pro so i don,t know if this differs from non oem forks.
the spacer was a weird thing comprising of a thick plastic tube with a disc clipped into the top of it that span.so i chopped the 20mm off the bottom of the thick tube...result...

I'm assuming you mean one of these, this is a 20mm spacer from my reba 29ers, removing it lifted them from 80mm to 100m

The outside diameter is 20mm the inside is 10mm

Hope that helps

I don't think the diameter is too critical though. As long as it's less than 30mm or so (the inside diameter of the stantions) it should work fine.

Cheers chaps. I had a vague recollection that an M10 spacer would do the job so that's confirmed it, well enough to give it a whirl anyway.

Good point glenh, hadn't thought of it from that perspective!!
