Currently have a set of Renthal 740mm carbon ones set at 10mm rise. Wanted to try some 780mm bars so purchased a cheap set on Ebay which have a 15mm rise but find that I have to run about 20mm of spacer under them to get them to a nice height.
Is there an ideal height for bars in relation to seat height?
By raising the 15mm rise bars with 20mm of spacer underneath make this similar to a 35mm rise bar or ergonomically is this different to say a straight 35mm rise bar with no spacer?
I do like the Renthal carbon bars and fancied a change to wider as I was always riding with my palms hanging of the edge with the brake levers set correctly for reach
Expensive mistake if you get wrong - any thoughts?
I'd get the lower rise bar and play with spacers to get the height right.
35mm bars will allow more fore/aft adjustment if you rotate them forward/back, but other than that, should be much the same.
