As I've asked in the title. What rim tape should I use to run tubes on 26" Stans ZTR Flow EX rims? If it makes any difference I'll be running 2.5" dual ply Maxxis tyres.
Comments advising me to run tubeless are welcome, but will be ignored. ๐
Superstar 25mm did the job for me.
And I am running tubeless ๐
Stans tape works perfectly well with tubes. Covered in the future as well if ever you change your mind about tubeless.
Thanks - will probably go with the Stans tape.
I had massive problems getting tyres on with cloth rim tapes. Ended up improvising with a thin strip of gaffer tape just covering the bottom of the channel.
Stans or similiar tape- good quality electric tape will do it with a few wraps too.
Another vote for using the yellow tape.
25mm Gorilla Tape from Screwfix. I've tried everything and this is by far the best.
Superstar do the yellow tape cheaper than Stan's-branded stuff. It's exactly the same
Ooops! Ignore ๐ณ
Stans. After struggling to fit the tyres with tubes you can go tubeless
Electrical insulation tape, 2 wraps
Also works tubeless
