I want to listen to some music while doing X-country rides. I have an I-Phone 5, whats the best free music apps or one where I pay one off fees ? not keen to sign up to a subscription and it needs to be pre-download instead of live streaming. Is there a version of spotify or youtbe you can set up a few days before a ride?

Rip your CDs to MP3 and send them to the iPhone via iTunes?

Spotify does pre-downloads so you don't have to stream. I have the paid version, but maybe the advert version does that too?

No, that’s a premium feature.

Amazon Music lets you offline any MP3s you’ve bought on there, and I believe you don’t need a Prime subscription to do so.

Planet Rock or WeFunk are my go to apps.

I'd suggest Cloud Player, but that's Android only I think.

I much prefer the app called nature though. Bird sounds, breeze in the trees. No headphones required. 😉
