Kask lid:
Well made, fits perfectly and light.
Spot on.

Conti Top Contact 2 folding tyres:
On my wife's AWOL.
Survived a few routes through the slate quarries.
Feel a lot tougher than Marathon Supremes, but heavier and a bit draggier.
Good mixed use tyre.

Spesh Phenom saddle:
Very happy I've finally found a saddle that fits and I won't cry over if it gets soaked or nicked.
Still comfy on longer rides.
Delighted with it, tbh.

Aldi Cree lights offroad:
The Magicshine type ones.
Cheap, work perfectly, guarantee.
Been used in some filthy conditions over winter and survived a few knocks, very impressed.

Dynamo lights on the road bike:
A complete convert.
The last time I had a dynamo it was driven from the side of the tyre and dragged like an election campaign.
The modern equivalent is like driving behind a car headlight.
And not having to faff with batteries is just one less hassle.
Great stuff.

Wellgo R120B pedals:
SPD one side, small pinned platform on the other.
Grease port.
Excellent for mixed use.

MSR XKG EX stove.
Had it for ages, still works perfectly, every time.
Give it the odd clean, it's a bit noisy but it's bombproof and works with pretty much anything.

Most of this stuff was recommended by posters on here, btw.
🙂

Yours?

Pies and cars.

Better than a dynamo, without a doubt.

Also a Kask helmet. A make I've not tried before, I took a risk buying it online and it's lovely.

My Polaris windproof soft shell. Again, bought without seeing one. So good I bought another in their Christmas sale.

Madison Zenith lightweight jacket > cheap, keeps off drizzle, doesn't get too hot or sweaty.

Altura Mayhem jacket > properly waterproof, don't boil in a bag. Pretty good for £65.

Lights and batteries from MTB batteries > good pricing for great kit and top service.

Osprey Talon 6 waist pack > plenty of room for stuff, well worth trying.

Merlin own brand bib shorts > not expensive, very comfy.

Forgot the £20.00 Endura Hummvee shorts from the recent PSA.

First time I've tried 'proper' baggies.

Seem very well made.
Have used them on family rides and will definitely use them for pootling/touring and for MTB rides in the winter.
The ex Army Goretex is retired to walking duties.
🙂

How many pockets though?
And although I no longer look like a sex pest, there's a definite Don Estelle thing going on.....

Plus 1 for the Aldi Cree - once the o ring bracket is modified to something that fits without slipping and the big hole underneath is filled with silicon.

Camelbak Skyline - £50 for the best pack out there? Bargain.

Considering my outright hatred of Avid brakes, the guides which came on a bike I bought are the best I have ever used. The bike has gone, the brakes have stayed. I am even considering buying the top line ones with the stealthamajig fitting (which is excellent by the way).

Sp gadgets GoPro handlebar mount

Well made, solid grip and easily the best way to mount your action cam or lights to your bars.

Sks 'velo' mudguards.
Now in 65 width?
But my 55's work great on my hardtail with the odd bodge...
Instead of side supports the rear guard is suspended (with zip-ties) from my rear rack with one of their proprietary silver clips.

My DHX2

it's made the monarch I've had feel like laughable piece of shit.

My settings were all wrong according to Mojo (I was using base settings/very strong compression settings apparently - which would make it spike according to Mojo who seemed surprised I was using all of my travel).....it was still twice as good as the Monarch I was running.

Makes me wonder about the STW DHX2 vs Float X2 vs Kage review - considering the Mojo settings for my Reign were so wildly different to STW's review (close to the recommended settings wasn't it?).

Kask lids, started with a roadie one and now have the man one as well. Lovely kit.

The £100 bearing (one side) in by superfly BB. I was sick of weekly flushing regreasing the standard bearing to keep it running over winter(nds side only as it's a bit more exposed). Even then it would eventually give up, its been replaced with a a ceramic/marine corrosion resistant thing. I greased it last time in September and opened it up again in April, it was full of dirt, but a flush and grease and it's spinning smoothly again.

- Rahox brake pads

Wtb padloc grips, was unsure at first, really like them now.

XX1 eagle, underwhelmed at first, but went back to 11 speed xx1 and realised how much better eagle was, not just having an extra cog.

OTE caramel flapjack. Not kit, bloody delicious.

S-works cycling shoes, mtb and road

105 hydro discs. Better than dura ace calipers.

My Liteville 301 - it never fails to impress me how well a 170/160mm bike can climb, especially loose, rocky stuff.
Up and down it's nothing short of superb, I don't know why you don't see more of them. Certainly mine is the only one over here.

Alpkit Arro windproof jacket. I end up sweaty in anything thicker but this is light, cheap, keeps the wind off and isn't too hot!

Really impressed with my 2 new helmets.
POC Tectal is the most comfortable trail lid I've owned. Light, very well made.
TLD D3 bought from CRC on a massive discount. Would never spend full price on one but quality is amazing.

Just for balance for anyone else considering the helmet and reading this. I had read lots about this, on here and other places, and so bought a spare pad set. So far not needed them had the helmet 2 months daily commute and 2 big rides 100k mark and original pads great.

^^^ sounds like they may have sorted them, good to hear. I was very taken with the lid, but as you'll have read, half a dozen sets of delaminated pads and 2 refunded Montaro's later I had to move to another brand.

DMR Deathgrips - a week in Finale and my soft office hands are unharmed
Fox Transfer - lovely, smooth, ergonomic thing.
Maxxis DHF WT Doubledown tyre on a Hope 35mm rim - grippy, puncture proof, no rolling, no burping, just brilliant for the same week.

Forgot - Hope Brakes - for performance, feel and eas of bleeding. Fully converted from Shimano now, I think

Manitou Magnum fork - so much better than any other fork I've had
