just got me wondering, the bikes I used to really drool over were Fat Chance or De Kerf.
So in this world of Full suss and monster DH bikes, what is the up to date equivelant of either of these companies......I was thinking Independent mabye
Indy Fab
IF are basically Fat city, De Kerf are still going.
If I was thinking FS, it'd probably be Nicolai.
Well maybe (even as a Nic owner) but I would still say you need it to be something American, handmade and niche, so perhaps Intense or maybe Ellsworth? All the other US brands are now made elsewhere.
Have a look at Groovy cycleworks for some more Fat (and Grove) heritage.
You know probably Brooklyn Machine Works is the essence of a FS Fat Chance now. Made in steel, in very low numbers, very high quality, utterly niche and desirable, like hen's teeth in the UK...

Looks just like my Handjob. Apart from the silly v-mounts.
Lol i should have checked the link worked, cheers
were Fat Chance's gusseted on the TT/HT join?
I love my on-ones, but the TT gusset is the ugliest bit and I wouldnt expect to see it on a retro frame. I assume if the original Fat Chance didnt have a gusset there's one there now to get past CEN?
