I found this the most informative guide when I bought a new frame a couple of months ago - and, yes, I did end up buying Hope 'Mix and Match' headsets. Just don't order from CRC unless you are sure you know what you want as they don't sell one specific part as it competes with their own Nukeproof range.
HH I agree great guide but hope don't make what I need. Checked with them on Friday.

I just did 44 / 52 with a Hope Pick and Mix headset
The 44 is standard but the 52 is the bearing only which fits straight into the frame
What frame is it for?

From the size you've given, it sounds like you need an Integrated 'Campy style' tapered headset. CRC do one but it's bloody expensive:

Dave, yeah I was looking at ss and pp ones, Not too sure about either as the pp shan has this open head tube badge and I was concerned about corrosion into btm bearing from water ingress.

From what I've heard, water will get into the Shan's headset anyway through the badge. 🙂
