Is it a bike or just similar to a bike or representative of a bike? I don't understand?

I believe it's analog as in analog versus digital.  Before we had digital, 1s and 0s, computers we had analog, based on varying physical quantities.  See  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Analog_computer

So basically pedals equates to analog

It means that the battery display on your bike doesn't use digits. The remaining battery is shown in blocks, as on Shimano, rather than as a percentage using digits.

Your rate of forward progress is an analogue of your effort. On a true digital bike, your forward progress is 0 or 1, regardless of your effort. However, I believe that clever engineers have programmed digital bikes to mimic the analogue effect.

Analogue bikes are for riding in circles

Various phrases I've heard used to differentiate a 'push' bike from an ebike include analogue, acoustic (wtf?!) and meat (as in powered by meat not electricity!?).

All sound stupid to me!

I just use bike, ebike and motorbike.

I just use bike, ebike

It’s all that’s needed. If you read something about a bike and it doesn’t have an e in front of it, you know its not electrically powered. Motorbikes are different, only motorcyclists talk about them 😊

It was a maybe too subtle dig at Saurons/illegal ebikes.

Someone needs to tell the mainstream press.

I quite like clockwork as a means to differentiate from ebike.

Can I suggest an ebike forum where all the ebikers can think up derogatory term for bikes in peace and leave the rest of us alone.

I just thought it meant good old cables to change gear. I've got an ebike and a bike bike and I love them both. Glad of the ebike when I'm out with people half my age and I need to keep up though.
