Following a day yesterday where I completely forgot how to pilot a bicycle, I need a new helmet. It's long overdue anyways.
Currently got a M Tectal Race Spin and it's the best fit I've ever had. I think I'm around 58cm so at the top end of the foot but it's perfect.
I'd just replace it with the modern MIPS version but I've heard they come up smaller? Anyone got any experience of this?
Trying my best to try on as much as possible, but very few options for that near me, A3 felt like wearing an update down crown, various versions of Speedframe were comfortable, but the M was too small and the L felt and looked huge.
I've no idea what 'head shape I have! What other options have I got? I've no aversion to paying good money for one that fits.
I've got VT ratings in the back of my mind, but they're not the be all and end all.
I just replaced a spin Axion with the mips version in the same size and it is a little tighter. I was towards the bottom of the size with the spin so the new one is still comfortable. Strangely the tightness seems to the mostly towards the back.

The Specialized tactic will probably fit. I had the Tectal spin and it largely fit me ok / just occasionally seemed to give a headache for some reason. Found the Tactic more comfortable and not as expensive usually to buy. I tried the Spec ambush at the same time and that was a totally different (horrible) fit on me weirdly.
I also have an IXS Trigger FF that fits really nicely so I wonder if the IXS trigger x mips would fit similarly.
