Looking at getting a helmet cam for viewing rides on laptop and maybe on our HD ready tv, not expecting epic movie quality but want to be able to catch the action. Sound quality is not as important.
cheers

contour HD or VHoldr (non HD version) is discontinued so can be picked up cheaper
Veho Muvi Mini for £50 at Tescos with free sports pack is unbeatable in size and quality for the price (but not waterproof)
Films from both (Muvi and VHoldr)are on my pages here -
Iain 1775, can you do a link to Tesco's offer, only I can't find one. Cheers

GoPro Hero
I like 🙂
For an extra £100 on your budget you can get the GoPro Hero HD which results in full HD picture quality on your tv. Sample video from yesterday here:

I'm generally very impressed with it. Just a thought incase you would consider spending more!
Here you go Slider, and its now a tenner cheaper! (out of stock though!)

Beware the cheap ebay ones I have read alot of mixed sories and seems pot luck on if you get a good Muvi unbranded copy or a cheaper plastic cased version
and at the tesco price with free action kit (normally about £35) (which you will ideally need for mounting options) its probably a similar price anyway
Check my Cannock vids for the quality and see how it compares to the Vholdr
The muvi is with the stock SD card in it,which is apparently quite a poor performer on recording speeds, a class 4 or 6 card will improve things further, also the vids are uploaded at not a huge file size (my old computer cant handle it too well) and compressed so could easily get better results
tachyon 2010 xc around £180 at http://www.thepictureexchange.co.uk
they take up to 32G cards,i have 16G cards which give 4 hours film at best quality,16 at lowest, they take stills and timelapse..3 days on a 16G card.. very very robust..i dropped one at 70 mph on my motorbike and it bounced down the road..switched off but still worked!..i killed a go pro but there good too but unless you want an HD one id go for the tachyon..its the lesser knowen underdog in helmet cameras but i think there really good value..oh i filmed at -9 C too with lithium batteries for 4 hours no probs 2 weeks ago..
and you can use vista`s movie maker no probs with them..
heres some of my films to check the quality...
