11 speed set up just arrived and the shifter looks strange...
It's listed as: Shimano XT Di2 M8050 11 speed right hand

It looks completely different to a usual shifter
Have I bought the wrong component?

Di2 is electronic shifting (needs a Di2 mech.); is that what you wanted?

Good news is, mechanical shifters are about half what you’ve paid for the leccy one.
