ive got a hardtail but those i ride with all have fs. i want something light and with pro pedal what do you suggest. what about the commencal meta 5

Meta 5's aren't particularly light. If you're careful with the build, you'll get it under 30lbs, but that's really not where it's aimed. They do go uphill well though. Best bet is to have a shot on your mates bikes and see what you like.
