Bottom mount mech won't go low enough.
Any ideas?

The mech is bottom mount and is set up for a triple chainset, and is pretty much sitting on the weld of the frame/bottom bracket, it works fine but looks odd
(to high)
hope that explains it

They do mate yes, i think there's 4 different versions of the front SLX Mech. Chain reaction cycles sell them all.

I too have the E-Type version that screws directly into the frame, i can't remember the model number though but a quick google search should have it for you.

Edit: I'd recommend posting on the Classifieds bit for the mech as people wont see it here

Odd because its sitting so high above the outer (36T) chainring?

I believe the term is a top swing mech (when the mechanism is above the seattube clamp)
(the other type that hangs down being a conventional swing, ie like road bikes)

Merlin too sells them, £5.04 cheaper, and actually have them in stock
