A damp and soggy good evening to all.
I have a 2011 transition covert and currently it's fitted with 150mm revelation RLT's, but only as these came off my sc blur lt when I built the tranny up.
I know transition recommend fox 36's but I just wondered what people are running on theirs.
I've got it built up for a bit of everything. I don't do all day xc rides, but regularly visit peaslake, qe park, afan etc. With this in mind, I'm not looking at going down the coil sprung route, staying with air. I quite fancy some lyriks or 36 floats, but don't want to add excess weight unless I have to, but can't help thinking the front is a little low with 150's, but may just be convincing myself after reading transitions recommendations.

Marzocchi 55 RC3 Ti

Best forks I have ever used; believe the hype ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm ignoring the fact that you said no coil forks... you need the plushness of the 55s in your life ๐Ÿ˜‰

fox van36 plusher than plush, mate runs 36 talas on his covert, I think its air? I dont like the way they feel compared to mine, they are harsh and rough..

I run 36 talas on mine, not noticed any harshness yet and really helps getting the front down on a climb. I did try RS air Totems reduced to 160mm, these felt really nice and were very stiff but the steerer was cut too short for me to ride comfortably.

Both feel much nicer than the 150 revs I have on another bike- good fork but a Covert needs something burlier IMHO.

For the record, I'm not a coil hater, I love how they ride. I had 32 vans before the revs on my BLT, and some legendary coil pike teams back in the day. Trouble is, the tranny needs a diet, not more pies!
