Is this not one of the best paint jobs you've ever seen? Love it! Wonder how much it'd cost to get a frame done in the same style? ๐Ÿ˜•

Saw it on Retrobike and fell in love... was for sale not long ago, wish I'd spotted it, almost certainly would've found a way to own it!

It looks like those cheap Raleighs from the dark ages The Lizard and Montage!

I've seen plenty of photos of stuff like that but can't get my head around how it would look in real life.

Pretty cool though, yeah.

I once had a Rible road bike that was Pink and White, faded front to rear. The Pink was down the front of each tube so it looked Pink from the front and white from the back.
Still got a really old pic of it somewhere...... ๐Ÿ˜›

My Trek Madone Project 1 is on the way and is the same colour as the second pic..... ๐Ÿ™„

The wheels are nice. You can keep the rest...

Do you ride off road on a bike or is it just some bike aesthetic fetish?

Reminds me of those old Klein paint jobs somehow.

Nice. Although I am a sucker for the two-tone Klein/TVR style paintjob, I have to say.

Thats my dream bike- the Fat Chance Yo Eddy with that very paint job!
How much was the paint job on a modern day bike again? Reckon my Chameleon would look ace in that coat!

Dave "PeeWee" Hemming? Bula hats for slalom markers? Isn't it? Wasn't it?

You can have the wheels I'll take the rest ๐Ÿ˜‰

That's like a half and half job rather than one of those chameleonic paints right?

Indeed it is Captain, good spot sir! Though, tbh, I have no idea who the chap is ๐Ÿ˜ณ Guessing he's a decent rider from days of yore?

Yep, exactly that. Looks bloody wonderful to me, love the green and blue ๐Ÿ™‚

i believe it is called a pin-stripe, and is not cheap, i think it was standard on the fat chance yo-eddy's, but you would need to check on retro-bike for that as definite fact.
however it is definitely one of the coolest paint jobs and very iconic.

That scheme is the Fat Chance 'aqua fade' and photos never do it justice. Just needs Bullseye cranks & Syncros finishing kit.

Still one of the nicest riding frames I've ever thrown a leg over.

Could this be achieved with powdercoat or is it an expensive paint job?

My 8-year-old daughter was standing by me when I opened this thread, and said, 'WOW! Nice colour! Can I get a bike like that?'

And I agreed.

I reminds me of a Klein. Think it was from around 1999, a Klein Attitude maybe with a green/blue fade paint job. Looked class with blue Sid forks and XTR bits.

There was another one they did with an orange/red fade.

Love that Cotic - wish baby blue was a stock colour for the Soul.
