Good value or buy-cheap-buy-twice? Only going to be used for commuting on the road so absolute toughness/weight/stiffness not so much of an issue.... but they need to hold together for a few years for it to at least be economic.

They're VERY white for mtb shoes.

Agreed 😉 Let's ignore the colour for the moment - have seen other colours elsewhere, but this was the first link that came to hand beyond "direct" from aliexpress
