Looks time warp clean. Could use a cheap tidy occasional full susser. Is this too old to perform though? Or can it be set up for some real world fun?

I have one of those.Use it when I go out with the kids. That or a rigid singlespeed.

I would not pay that, even thought it looks minty. Not the greatest ride but fine for two wheeled Pony Trekking.
You could have mine for very little, propriety bits like four bolt hubs and so on make it a pain if it breaks.

I'd suggest you can get something newer & better for the same amount of money. I really hope you haven't won the auction and I'm now slagging your bike. As per Uphillc, it running at the original coda parts which would be heavy and simply not as good as even a bike from 5 years ago. It's seemingly been sold as a retro collector bikes IMO, bit late to say this now, but I'd suggest steering clear if you want to use it regularly and not keep it as a special occasions or 'show' bike.

Thanks guys, I didn't win it ๐Ÿ™‚

For the condition alone I thought it to be worth just about the asking price, I think I'll struggle to find something modern as clean for the same money, but if anything I think I'll hold out for a minty Prophet

Renton, am just about to formulate a reply to your latest email, need to visit the garage beforehand. Be with you asap

Wot he said, though though 3 are a quite a mix (but for illustration purposes do work), I doubt the top one Domain's are only 140mm, the middle one just doesn't say what size frame it is and the bottom one is a Prophet "SL" with 120mm rear travel (unless they've replaced the shock with a longer stroke) and so the longer forks don't match travel wise.

Trouble is Prophets come up a bit short for me, I once owned a large and never felt it fitted right. I've only seem one XL for sale in the last year

I have a frame and lefty hanging i the shed (inc wheels and stems - definitively not standard bits). She is a med and fits me fine at 5'10'. They are a great trail bike and have a really rather nice suspension action.
However there are some caveats. I have the 140 lefty which I love, but is ONLY a summer fork as they all leak like a sieve and fill up with crap in the winter. The upside is that it is easy to service once you know how, and I can now strip and rebuild mine in a couple of hrs.
The shock is a manitou and is now really hard if not impossible to get serviced. The fox shock (some bikes come with these)on the other hand is infinitely repairable which is why even second hand ones go for silly money.
In summary, a great bike, very weird and a bit marmite (I love mine).
If you get one, make sure it has the fox shock tho, otherwise, walk away.
