Got a "clicking" pedal (under load). DMR V12. I've never taken a pedal apart before but I presume a new set of bearings will fix it (or do I have to buy a new pedal?). What do I need? Do I need any special tools and is it possible to get a bearing kit or spare parts? Any advice appreciated.

No special tools needed, just one lock nut (around 13mm) on the outside edge of the pedal. Will most likely be a bush the side nearest the crank and a caged bearing on the outside. Rare for the bushes to be knackered so will be the outside bearing or the lock nut has worked loose. Just knock the bearing out, check and if it's worn get the bearing number off it and search ebay. Just done my times, £3.39 for two new bearings. I'd replace the lock nuts as well for what they cost.

608ZZ for the bearings (outer)
the lock nuts are left and right handed threads, check as they strip and then you think the nut will not come off! (thread last week)

Well, I've gone and done the classic and turned the nut what I thought was the right way and threaded it. Seems to be a common occurrence. I now have it out and have removed the axle. How do I get the bearings out? Can't see anything that looks like a bearing in there and the DMR maintainence page on this is blank!
I've never taken a pedal apart before (I know, I know, but gotta start somewhere), so there's probably an obvious answer. Any help appreciated.
