I have a 10 speed Campag Chorus drivetrain on my road bike. The chain is stretched and needs replacing, but what with?
Campag is the obvious choice, I've put several thousand miles on this one without issue so I know they're hard wearing and reliable. Looks like only Record is available in 10 speed though but 'just' £36 on Wiggle/CRC. I don't expect there would be any issues as internal dims are the same right?
KMC seem a popular choice, I've never tried them though. Any opinions on them?
Anything else I should consider?
I'm intending to run a new chain for a while to see if it jumps as I don't want to splash out on new cassette/chainrings unless I have to and they don't look too badly worn.

Just get the campy one then if you're happy with them.
KMC make Shimano chains, they're pretty good and come with a missing link. 25 quid for the X10 light chain:

i've used KMC chains on my Campag drivetrain ever since Campag introduced silly joining links mated with a ridiculously expensive chain tool, never had a problem
Yep, the expensive chain tool thing is a bit off putting. That gold KMC chain looks good value, I'm tempted just for the 'what a nob' factor on the commute 🙂
I could also do with a rear tyre as mine is a bit shouldered. I was going to put that purchase off til next month but while I'm ordering....

Michelin pro4 endurance
These seem to get mixed reviews - endurance not that great and not very grippy in the wet. I need something that'll do well through the winter (and wet spring/summer/autumn!).Michelin pro4 endurance
Kmc x10 about £15 at Ribble. Get a pair of joining link pliers and chain maintanence becomes a joy.

Some one I know runs a fleet of hire bikes in Majorca and swears by them, personaly I'd use the pro 4s the grip is about the best out there.
