At 12 stone and on a bike going to be running a Shimano Alfine hub, will it be worthwhile running a 1/8" chain over a 3/32" or does it not make a difference? Am I better off just buying a cheap 7/8 speed chain and saving a bit of weight? Or should I go the whole hog and buy a half link chain?
Preferably as cheap as poss and easy to add/remove links as I desire, cos even though it'll be on a bike with an EBB, I have a range of gear ratios I want to try before I commit so might need to add or remove a link or two at some point...
Suggestions please!
