my flatmate has some rock shox dart 3's went to afan yesterday, and they locked out...cos it was too cold...however when we got home it was warmer and they loosened up again....can this be fixed?

Sounds like there's water in them with the oil; service them or at least drain, flush and replenish with appropriate oil.
