I'm wanting a bike for my local conditions. Which means massive ups, massive downs, bit of rocks, long distances etc. I want a 29er FS in carbon. It must climb excellently and descend well. I have a pair of 150mm Pikes and a set of Hope Hoops Flow EX to transfer from my current bike. I need a 2x10 for the huge range of gearing required for Scotland plus I like to run an all-steel drivetrain. So it must take a front derailleur.

I want the ultimate lightweight all terrain bike for my kind of riding!

Purchase will be made next March so I've got time to save up.

Hey Deveron53 did you get anywhere with your search?

Suspect I don't have your need for a 2x10 but these all look interesting.

The Evil The Following is the one that immediately stands out in my mind. You'll have to shorten your Pikes slightly as its optimal with a 130mm fork apparently, but it ticks all your boxes nicely otherwise.
