I'm looking to put drop bars and replace the hydraulic disc brakes on a hybrid bike I've acquired, with cable discs.
I was thinking of Avid BB of some sort, but unsure if the Shimano Acera front and rear mechs are road or mtb
Can anybody help on the correct version for STI levers?

If its 9 speed then Sora, if its 8 speed then go for 2300 as they are the same as sora but cheaper.

put drop bars
you want to shorten the stem by ~30mm too (if the bike is the right size for you, with flat bars)
road bb7 for drop bar levers.

The rear will definitely work, the front may not but worth a try.
