Not which one do you want to own, but which do you most want to sling a leg over?
Not sure myself. Maybe one of them curly-wurly Jones bikes, or the ti456.
I would have said a proper DH bike previously, but I'll have mine built up and ready to ride by next weekend anyway.
I'd love a go on one of those ridiculous sub 5 kg roadbikes to see if it enabled me get dropped any later on chaingang.
Lily Allen
Empire or Trek Session 88 DH, in the Alps, in the sunshine, today.
empire
a properly set up specialized, jsut to see if they are as bad as i first thought.
giant trance/trance-x because i loved the anthem and the reign-x
cannondale prophet, becasue i could actualy afford one
specialized pitch, (combination of points 2 and 4)
Lapierre Spicy would be nice.
Trek Session DH - lucky my mate's just got one!
lilly allen, and I am also tempted by one of the Ragleys
Another vote for the Surly Pugsley - I love the look of that bike and it's sufficiently "different" to normal bikes to make it interesting.
Can you get one on the Bike2Work scheme? 🙂
Orange Blood - just looks like it'd be fun to ride the tits off it down something fast and loose.
Had a go on a pugsley - it's not really that fun tbh - kind of novel for 30 seconds...
Shaun Palmers M1 and Sam Hills Sunday from last year ... please
A Bionicon
One of those Whyte PRST1 things.
Always fancied a go on a unicycle too.
Jones Spaceframe with a fat front tyre.
A proper DH bike for a start.
A 29er
Something silly light.
Brooklyn Machine Works Race Link
A hardtail fitted with a USE SUB fork.
A DH bike on a a proper DH course would be good, anyone know anywhere that does this? (Inners or Gawton would be good)
An old Harley from 1970s or a GSXR 750 with a full mods to the engine and suspension
Any carbon roadbike that is £5000+ and weighs 50grams.
Well I have no budget for a new bike, but I wouldnt mind a ride on a Lapierre Zesty. It looks like a bike that can handle infinitely more than i could ever ride on it, and may be a bit much for XC, but looks fab and I'd be interested to see how it rides. Orange bikes always look good too, so yeah, wouldn't mind riding one of them for a day too (a full susser).
RichC, Cwm Carn is a fairly regular choice for demo days. They ran an Iron Horse demo last year in conjunction with the uplift service which might have been fun - I bet the queue for the Sundays was a bit of a scrum though.
There is a regular demo series being held there this year but none of the bikes are particularly grrr.
I'd like a go on any of the Chunk 666 bikes, particularly the "Jalapeno Sunrise" - so called "because of the burning sensation it induces in all who ride it".
An Ibis Mojo, or maybe that Scott Genius that weighs 3 ounces. I'd never but either, but it'd be nice to see whether the fuss is justified. Saying that, I had a go on a Hummer a couple of weeks ago and really wish I hadn't now 'cos I want one.
Dialled Mikes Cruiser.
I must admit i'd love a go on a Norco Team DH and a Iron Horse Sunday WC.
Whyte 19 Carbon Team.
the white above or the Trek session
Have actually tried 2 of the bikes I have fancied.
Disappointed by 575
pleasantly surprised by Orange 5
To throw my legover -
DeKerf 853 Team
Rock Lobster handbuilt by Paul Sadoff
Il Pompino.
Demo 8 I've seen the youth of today pedal them like xc bikes and go bonkers downhill. Oh an Katie Price...But not Kerry Catona.
