Right, Awkward I know, but I'd like a long travel, single speed (but able to take gears if required), preferably Steel, 18 or 19 inch, hardtail. Currently running an adapted on one 456 with a 2006 Marzzochi All mountain SL fork, which is lovely and plush and I'm quite fond of it.
Apart from an Orange P7 (which I reckong I an just scrape under £1k what else is there thats quite easily available? Do i just get a frame (a bit overpriced IMO) and put my bits on? Any suggestions?

You can't just buy a frame as it has to be a complete bike to qualify (although some bike shops may choose to ignore this).
