Just building up by 2d hand scandal, but wondering about bar choices.

I'm thinking I want/need 720 - 740mm wide flat bar, alloy, £50 max - any ideas?

Well I went for these mt zoom ones but it was for a race bike build. Not wide enough, too expensive, and not alloy 🙂

Easton EA70 would seem to fit the bill.

Just built up a scandal with some syncros fl1.5 flat bars. 740mm wide and 250grms. Got them from eBay for just over 20 notes

I've got a Scandal too - the v2 29er version.
I bought the Crank Brothers Cobalt flat bars, which are nice and comfy, and (back then) were also fairly cheap. Swapped to Salsas, but didn't get on with those - and need to sell them, come to think of it. Went back to Cobalts and continue to be very happy with them - the sweep is really pleasant. They're the 680mm jobs, which are absolutely fine with a 100mm fork.
You might want to have a look at On-One's El Guapo Ancho bars - bit of a steal at £20: http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/HBTIEGAF/el-guapo-ancho-flat-handlebars
I've run Truvativ Noir carbon bars on a 26" Singular in the past, and they were *lovely* - when I have a bit more dosh I'll probably buy the flat version, as they're just smashing bars.

I bought some Superstar flatland bars, I can't remember the weight but they weren't that heavy, 780 wide too.
