It's huge
White so easy to spot
Water proof
And cost me £30 about 15 years ago, it's been so over the the world sheet is now somewhere between Zurich and Manchester full of our sweaty and dirty ski kit!!
If it doesn't turn up, what bag to replace it? I *think* it is 60l or so
Lomo have a fair selection:

My white Royal Racing holdall is my favourite bit of luggage. Easy to spot on the airport carrousel and fits most of my kit in comfortably. I think I got mine in the same sale, I seem to remember paying £30 for it as well.
I've recently got an evoc holdall thats a similar size, really well thought out, but doesn't have the same bombproof feel as the royal racing one.
I'm looking at some bigger evoc bags for my summer hols though.
Obvious answer is a North Face base camp duffel bag in the a size to suit you.
Got a couple and same as your Royal, umpteen trips on planes and hold up well.
Had mine (different sizes) for years, middle size one’s been used most and also used on the motorbike and still look the same as the day I bought it.

Something like this from Montrose Bag Company?

Wow - that Montrose Bag Company looks fantastic value for a made in the UK product. I'll make a note of them for a future purchase for sure.
Just ordered one belatedly from the Montrose bag co
A Montrose! Saw the thread title, then saw it was an old thread and I'm glad someone has already posted.
I'll still post up though Nigh on indestructable. Suitable for use on Helicopters in the North Sea. Honestly - really, really good kit. And suprisingly cheap too!
They do loads of shapes, sizes, colours, custom if you want it.
I've got a couple, one of which is my 'bag of revolting MTB kit' that the missus doesnt like me opening in the house. Its been on planes, kicked around gravel car parks, and full of all sorts of filth, and its brilliant.
Massive reccomendation here.
This thread resurrection has made me want to buy a holdall and I don't even need one.
Never heard of Montrose but they look really good and the prices are very reasonable.
I'm a sucker for fancy colours.
I've a number of Montrose bags that have been around the globe in planes, in helicopters in boats , in the back of pickups across the desert , the jungle and the cold climes too across the last 15 years.
Even the worst looking one still looks and performs respectably.
Could do alot worse.
Still use a north face duffel that predates them all for any personal travel it's just a more useful bag.
