Glentress/Innerleithen (because lets face it they can be combined into one ride ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Kielder/Newcastleton (again as one ride) It's local I've raced on it quite a bit and I like the fact that bits of it feel really remote. It's not that bad if you can climb hills.

Then...

Probably Lee Quarry. Only been once but I would love to have that near me. I loved the way it was like a giant play area with so many options. If you are a local you are lucky.

Afan. As a novice mountain biker used to ploughing through Bristol mud, the trails here were a total revelation. Fast, flowy and you can scare yourself without too much risk of going home on a spine board.

Nant Yr Arian. Epic scenery, kites, great trail with a handbuilt feel, optional natural stuff for the grumpy old men.

Dalbeattie. Just love the way they've incorporated the natural rock into the trail, the Slab is still the most awesome thing I've ridden on a bike, and the layout is well thought out. More trails should have skills areas near the car park instead of being miles from anywhere.

This list could change on a daily basis, mind.

I must say, doing a loop of the long trail (forget the name) of Nant Yr Arian after a heavy snowfall early in the year was absolute magic. Technically there was nothing particularly challenging, but the shear beauty of the place made it very memorable. I am scared to go back in case I shatter the lovely memories I have of the place.

i really like stainburn, it kind of fits in what i want out of a trail centre. Very compact, technical, a couple of hours up there gives you all you want, for a bigger day out i'd rather head for the hills.
it's also local.

Verbier if you can call it a trail "centre" โ“

My fav is Mabie simply because that is where I started off-road biking on an "all terrain" bike as they were called way back then ๐Ÿ™„
Basically the wife and I have spent many hrs over the years in Mabie through being GF, fiance, married to walking the dog, pushing kids in buggies, riding with my son from when he was around 8ish to now doing the same with grandkids ๐Ÿ˜†

Dalbeattie would be my 3rd for similar reasons. Many good memories from the guid auld days pre 7Stanes and auld mates who no longer ride.

3 for mainly sentimental reasons really.
