[#1711270]

I am off on an Alps loop. The route may involve a fair amount of shouldering my bike. I am using Shimano AM50's at the moment but maybe need a shoe/trainer that is more suited to walking comfortably with SPDs. Can anyone suggest a good trainer/shoe with SPD that is as good for walking as it is for riding.
Thanks in advance

Specialized Taho are good for hike a bike. Done Snowdon in them and all ok, no sore feet

I like the MP66 but can you get them in anything appart from white? Otherwise I will trash them too quickly!

MT90s look like a walking boot with SPDs, so unsurprisingly they're great for walking in. Riding in them is just as good as any trainer type shoe I've used, if not better. Obviously they're not up to carbon-soled-racerboy stiffness and lightness but that's not what you're after.
