[#2108033]

Day off today and I borrowed a Spesh Epic Evo from work to take for a little ride. Not ridden much recently (injured back then ill) so only intended to go out for a couple of hours. Got back 6 hours later in darkness - luckily I'd packed some Cateye Loop Lights in my bag!

The weather was fantastic - beautiful clear skies, frosty ground (although there was a bloody cold wind - kept at bay by my Endura Windchill Jacket ๐Ÿ™‚

The bike was great fun to ride, well worth grabbing a demo if you can ๐Ÿ™‚

Really impressed with the almost limitless climbing traction, great handling on fast, tight twisty stuff (not much of that today but have ridden one around Cannock and it flew) and the extra 20mm travel up front and chunkier tyres over the Epic makes it a bit more capable on big rocky descents ๐Ÿ™‚
The Command post worked really well, useful on uppy/downy stuff where it's not really feasible to stop and adjust post height. The 10 speed drivetrain was flawless, really nice spread of gears and so much nicer just having 2 rings up front.

You may have gathered that I really liked it, can't really find a bad thing to say about it to be honest.

Kinda makes me want to go for an all day ride in the hills and only come back when I run out of food & drink...

...oh look, I've got Friday off work, that'll do then ๐Ÿ™‚

Had same idea but...
...this idiot put unleaded in diesel car and broke down on way to Wales. Rescued and at Lymm Services for 90 mins for drainage.

So spent an hour messing about on lots of lovely cheeky and tricky singletrack, steps, ups, downs and roots at Lymm Dam.

Truck Stop jetwasher team even gave my steed a quick free hose down after :)) Cool!!
