As a boy who grew up in Grenoside I have the opportunity to revisit my youth and have a ride round there this weekend in preparation for some guided rides I'm doing there next month.
Trouble is I've not ridden round there for 20 + years.
Is there any way marked routes up there these days, or has anyone got any route details?
I will probably be able to find my way round some of it, but would be handy if it's signed/waymarked etc
Any info help will be appreciated

No real signage in Wharncliffe. Grenoside has 3 proper signposted tracks.

And I understand there has been some felling going on near the DH tracks in Wharncliffe.

Sorry, that's not very helpful.

I generally head left out of the car park and nip across the field that says no cycling. Then once through the other gate I turn right and keep high and right. Eventually you will end up on a fire road. Turn right and head across to top of the DH's.
Then session them or head uphill over the big wooden stile then after the moorland track turn left. Go through the farm then find the left across the crag (beware, somebody has been sabotaging this path).
Either follow this to it's conclusion and drop down the BW or sniff out one of 3 or 4 descents. Then go all the way along the TPT and climb back to the car park or ride push up to find What cover or one of the many other descents.
Every corner of Wharncliffe contains a trail, Strava is your friend.

We were there on Sunday morning, normally do something similar to mugboo. We didnt see any sabotage on the track to the crags. And also the main fireroad back towards the tpt has been closed so we had to push back up and go over the moor instead. Along that fireroad it has been churned up and really muddy. Not sure how far along it went as we then went into greno for a few runs which were fine.

I recently read that somebody had been digging large boulders out and rolling them onto the crag trail. Fingers crossed they got bored and moved on. Although if they are anything like our local stick/rock man, they may just redouble their efforts!

I didn't see anything, but I'll keep a eye out next time then. It's very wet though.
