Am I hankering after the non-existent here? I need a 6" eye to eye coil shock and would fancy the Vanillas, but do they exist in that length? I did think I had read references or some mention somewhere telling me yes, but looking for one seems futile....
Any clues appreciated, or even other 6" coil alternatives. The only decent 6" coil shock I can find is a Risse, and I was looking to spend less than that...
150mm e2e? Not sure. Are you looking at an older frame with a shortish fork? Would a 165mm fit in there and give you more travel (but perhaps steepen your angles)? Then you could pop a longer fork on to relax the angles back again?
152mm would be the most 'standard' size I fancy, i.e. 6 inches. It's for a Psycle Werks Wild Hare, which normally takes 165mm (6.5") but looking to slacken head/lessen travel and mainly get bb down to the ground more........ Got 165mm Vanilla R in there at the mo which is good, but want him low slung to go with the 100mm in the front. Tried 120 up front to go with the 165 and it's balanced, but I don't like it. Tis like on stilts. No intimacy.
Tried a Noleen in there which was about 147mm, but that was too short, so 152 or slightly over would be perfect......
