I now have new link to route 43 (Swansea Valley) almost from my front door. Proper tarmac country lanes just for bikes. The new link round Clydach is also great.

Where do these new routes go? Is it the link between Glais and Ynystawe? Hope so, been wanting to link up a ride from Ponty to Clydach then back over Craig-Y-Pal for a while.

It is! Into Glais village up what was Garth Road. Is there a way over Craig y Pal, i've been so far but it seems to run out of track.

I did it once, there is a horse track of sorts but it involved a brief bit of bushwhacking to get back on track. There's a nice singletrack descent down Coed Lleol into Alltwen though, in fact there's two but one has a rather large drop on your left so is a bit too tasty for my skills at the moment ๐Ÿ™‚

They are great, today went from Glais to Bracelet Bay in Mumbles, had a cup of tea and an ice cream at Fortes, and home again with no road other than 2 crossings.
