By a rare twist of fate the mother in law is staying over this weekend and I've been allowed out crack o' dawn Sunday morning to ride in the daylight!! Was thinking double dog and a bit of off piste Cannock and I'm also out tonight round Alton & Dimmingsdale! Not had a great week at work so a weekend of riding is just the antidote I need, maybe a few beers as well 😉

I have the whole weekend to myself as the Mrs went away this morning.
Thinking a big ride in the Dark Peak tomorrow, maybe taking in Cut Gate for the first time since last summer. Then a ride in the White Peak on Sunday.
That may well change when I can make my mind up 😀

Another weekend to myself here, not that it makes a difference to any other weekend, but I'm riding early at 8:30am tomorrow with a friend in the Wyre Forest but it's going to be a very easy ride because on Sunday I'm then riding the 'Tour of the Black Country' 100 miler. Should be my furthest distance week as I'm already on 59 miles woop woop!

Just local for me as we've got a few days in North then Mid Wales next week.
Our plans have slightly fallen apart with a sudden overnight stay in hospital last night. Feeling shattered now. Might just potter on with trying bike packing stuff tomorrow and a local ride on Sunday.
Hopefully a 36 mile loop in the Dales. I say hopefully as my freehub feels a bit ropey and the dropper on my other bike is goosed. 😐
Out on the road with a club tomorrow. Somewhere around about 60 or 70 miles. I've not done that sort of distance for a few years. 😯

None of my buddies are Riding, and I've now decided I canny be arsed driving, gonna jump on Arran ferry instead.
Training for a charity road ride currently, but the road bike front mech is poorly so out on the Arkose today. Just local on bridleways and back lanes but ace fun.

I spent yesterday putting the Anthem back to what its supposed to be, rather than my idea of "Trail". Amazing how shite I must of made it, its been supreme today.
After spending far too much time trying to decide which of my full sus bikes I prefer (thankfully now resolved) it was nice to get back on the fat bike for a bimble in the hills. The wind was trying to be annoying, but given what is suppposed to be coming our way tomorrow (snow!) I'm not complaining.

Went for a massive ride from Cardiff, over the Ridgeway between Castell Coch and Machen then over the next mountain to Cwmcarn, a loop of the Twrch then back via a small play at the Van Road jumps and dual slalom track. It was as knackering as reading that sentence without a breath 😀
47 miles and 6500ft of climbing in glorious sunshine, great way to start my week off 😀
I was lucky enough to get Friday off so we managed to squeeze in a cheeky unplanned weekend in North Wales with the family. My lovely wife was happy to let me take the bike too.

Surprisingly few others out on their bikes considering the weather and the awesome state of the trails, but chatted to a couple of other riders when catching our breath at the top of the climbs. Eldest is developing into a snake hipped climber. Lads. Then had to get a blast on some local trails to kiss the weekend sunshine goodbye.
