The weekend started yesterday with a local ride.

Like riding alternatively a wd40 coated blancmange or a velcro surface.
Well good.
Yet deeply cold, filthy and massive clean up.
The kids spent today out int' woods building an alternative trail to the massive 10' doubles hidden in Dunblane.

I'm doing a 43 km loop in Surrey with the missus tomorrow. One of those Trail Break rides. Im hoping it will give me a good idea of the local terrain and winter riding conditions for further solo exploration rides.

Not sure whose beard is more wild, rocketdog's or my dad's. Nice peak ride today. Loads of big groups out.

Looks like I rode at the same place as RD's second picture.
Didn't see any road bikes on the trails though.

Got out with the dog this evening.

After an afternoon of tinkering - swapping forks on the dog bike and putting a new BB in the hardtail since the old one looks like this (explains why it stopped working 5km from home last ride out)...

The great weather continues, pleasant Buddha DH and some South Lantau backcountry on Saturday, how I love the winter.

Couple of rides today. Early one to play in Wharncliffe. Loads out doing the same. A lot drier than we thought.
Got back and took the dog local.

A couple of loops from home on what I’m starting to think of as my road bike, even if it has a tendency to stray off the roads.

Local Herefordshire loop for me again today. Nice spin out, mild and not 'quite' as muddy!

Usual local Sunday nose round the woods. Didn't stray too far off-piste today as the clay is making its presence felt... New BB survived its maiden voyage intact.

Trail Break ride for me today (and had a good chat with @Yet1man of this parish. Lovely to meet you today)!

Nice ride - much better conditions than I expected.

Lets see if i can get this to work .... not strictly the weekend but this was Thursday at Glenlivet with my 11 year old. There was a wee sign up saying the cafe will be opening again on the 26th of March. Only did the blue and god knows how long on the pump track and wee skills area. She had a great time so so did I 🙂
