Iv got to take 15 days unpaid leave to take next , Im thinking about a 7 day long ride ideally with minimal roads.

So far I have two lines of investigation ,

1) the trans wales route , is it ridable all the time ?

2) I remember reading a while back in STW about a trans alps MTB ride.

If anyone can refer me anywhere or has any other ideas that would be top.

You'd manage the Trans Wales route most of the time ... wouldn't fancy it today though.

I have a 160 mile plus highland route you can have if you want - Mainly double track tho and not really the time of year for it.

Transwales would be grim at this time of year. It was Ok in a dry week in August.
