Hi,

I'm struggling to find any shoes (as oppposed to boots) without much mesh. Can anyone suggest any moderately stiff three-season shoes that don't flood your feet with water after mild puddle splash?

Thanks

Shimano MP56/66's are surprisingly good weatherproof shoes - been riding mine all winter with Sealskinz and my feet stay dry and toasty ๐Ÿ™‚

Interesting!
I hadn't contemplatd Sidi because the racer boy image always suggested mesh-tastic-ness. Expensive too, but a couple of reasonable web prices.
How's their sizing?

Ill second the sidi dominators - no mesh at all and incredibly comfortable.

Wow, Sidi Dominator vs Shimano MP56/66 - now there's a contrasting choice!

there is the shimano M182n that is a 3 season spd shoe and a northwave goretex shoe that doesn't have an ankle cuff.
i have both. i like the shimano's they are not waterproof but they don't have any ventilation holes, if it's cold/wet i wear the shimano waterproof boots instead. the northwaves are older and more of 'trainer' type than the race shimano's i don't wear them any more as the shimano boots or 182's do the job.

I take a Euro size larger than normal in Sidis (take normal shoe size in Specialized).

I bought some shimano mt70s (gore tex lined) very cheap from evans recently. They have some size left online. They are very good, but fugly. The newer version (MT60) look good, too, but are expensive.
