Fired up by the effort that, before Christmas, saw over sixty volunteers bring about the massive transformation of the Beggar Bush Lane trail, we now want to tackle what for many is their favourite section in Ashton Court, the Quarry Descent.
We are hoping the Bristol riding community will, as it did back in December, step up to the task and transform 100 tonnes of donated stone into the roller and berm-filled section of glorious singletrack we envisage.
Architrail will be in from the Monday, scratching up the old worn-out surface, then working alongside volunteers from Friday 8th, through the weekend and on to Wednesday 13th March.
The Ashton Court trail repairs are now solely funded by public donation with volunteers shifting the stone that the professionals then sculpt into great new features.
Message me if you want to help (email address in profile), but most of all - spread the word.
Brilliant. Count on me for a day or two. Really enjoyed the session I did last month..
Ran into the volunteers doing the compacting on the run down to the gatehouse, was that you? I'll be up for helping out, the repaired sections are a treat
It was. That was a repair day, rather than a full blown rebuild session.
