[Closed] washing Osprey packs?

I washed an Osprey walking rucksack and the pads meant to sit between back and bag came astray. I didn't want to cut the mesh cover so they are now in a little lump at the bottom of the mesh. I have washed other rucksacks with no problem though.

I phoned Osprey and they recommend not putting them in washing machines. Take out any formers. Scrub and hang to dry.
I've thrown a Camelbak in a machine and it's been okay though.

I was my Osprey in the washing machine regularly. Never had a problem.

I have a couple that go in the washing machine all the time without issue.
