What's the best way of washing an eVENT jacket please ?

Interesting. I didn't realise that you were meant to wash eVent jackets "often". I don't think I have ever washed mine

pure soap flakes? thats what i use on my WP riding gear

We also recommend that you avoid ironing the garment but if you do use the steam setting on no higher temperature than "warm". At some temperatures, the heat from the iron can have a rejuvenating effect on the DWR finish but there is a greater potential for fabric damage if the iron is too hot.

The care instructions on the inside of my Endura eVent specifically tell you to iron it to replenish the water repellancy! I've done this a few times and seems to work great, although I guess I should reconsider it now...

Bugger........'wash often'....never washed mine, having had it for nearly 2 years..

I think you'll find this applies to most breathable waterproofs, the dirt reduces breathability and increases "wetting out" on the surface.
