Can anyone point me in the right direction for machine washable shoes? I'm looking for shoes/trainers which I can chuck in the wash after a muddy ride along with the rest of my muddy gear. Just names of makes/models will do fine so I can google 'em.
Thanks.

I think this will wreck most riding shoes... My Tahoes have been through the machine once and this didnt do them any good - small crack to the sole where the cleat fits. They have been ridden a few times since and been fine (they are easy to walk on so good for WHW etc) but I would never put them back in the machine.
However both my sets of Spesh shoes (Tahoe and MTB Comp) survive sitting in the sink and getting attacked with a ASDA smart price scrubbing brush if they are covered in mud. Make sure and dry them with news paper in them to stop smells / rotting.
A mate just walks into the river nearest to the car park to clean his bikes and shoes. Works for him. But hes a bit mental.
Mine go through the machine regularly! I've had Shimano / Bontrager / Decathlon / Northwave / Lidl...
I won't put my goretex winter boots through though.
I'm actually looking for non-spd shoes for use with flat pedals.
Any specific recommendations?...

Some vans slip-ons will do the job then, lost count of how many times mine have been through the washing machine.
My Nike ACGs managed 2years of this... they gave up this weekend ๐
Most riding shoes can be put in the washing machine but eventually it dissolves the glue holding them together.
I prefer to jet wash muddy shoes rather than put em in the washing machine.
I just bung whatever shoes I'm riding in at the time through the wash. Every once in a while...
But then I use old knackered skating type shoes. I've had these Airwalks for a two or three years of riding, but about 5 years in total. As soon as I can no longer wear them 'socially', they become a riding shoe.
Just put mine inside a sock, inside a pillow case- sops the cleats from wrecking the machine- go in after every couple of rides..
I used to use the dishwasher at me mums, as then the shoes don't move, but get a decent clean...
Per Mike - can't believe folk actually do this...
overshoes for muddy rides, maybe?

Don't be tempted to do this while you're still wearing them, that's how the previous set died. ๐ก
