[Closed] Warranty Replacement with a twist.
Say you had a bike that you loved, had it for a few years then it broke. You make a claim on the lifetime warranty that they accept. They then send you a frame which is the same size as the one that broke, but due to geometry differences between the old one and the new replacement, the new replacement doesnt fit. Where do you stand?
Where do you stand?
In the pooh I reckon. There's no way you could expect a refund IMHO.
Sell it, move on.
Is there a current equivalent with the same geometry?
wrecker - wouldnt expect a refund.
wwaswas - they still have the same model, but they've changed the geometry on it. Not aware of anything with the old geometry.

Ta da! This.
Or an equivalent frame with the same effective size?
You'll have to stand on the pedals if you can't get on the saddle.
Contact them and explain the problem is a good start.
Shirley the geometry change is for the better? What bike is it?
Anyway Glupy, you can ride owt and still leave dust.... ๐
How has it changed? Is it a matter of a different stem or something liek that to resolve it?
Trek Fuel EX by any chance?
The warranty terms are not absolute will they allow 'equivalent' or 'latest version'. Also lifetime warranty may well be goodwill and not enforecable. The big print giveth, the small print taketh away.
Glass half full? Like said, talk to them if there's something else available yoou prefer - also plenty of stories of people who have got an upgrade just by being nice
It's not a bike that I own, happened to a mate.
b r - Yip one of them. It's for sale in the classifieds by a guy who is probably the forums new whisky expert.
