Warped wire bead tyres - possible idiot content

So I bought a replacement Schwalbe Winter tyre this week from a well known online retailer, arrived in a lovely tyre sized box. Went to fit it, and the wire bead seems to be slightly twisted at various points in various directions - neither side will sit properly in the rim without popping out. It's not a "too tight" problem, it's a definite "not quite round" problem.

Before I get carried away with my traditional solution of brute force and ignorance, any tips to try and encourage the tyre bead to conform to the rim? My current thought is to encourage the tyre on to the rim and then zip tie around to hold it while I force the last tricky bits on.

Save me some thumb strain and swearing!

I've used boiling water in the past for a similar issue, poured all over to make it a bit more malleable

Is the rest of the bead sitting in the well ?

I had a similar with a new tyre and , i guess ive just been lucky previously, or maybe the bead was sitting int he right spot so they went on easy enough in the past. But either way, this new Schwalbe tyre was a complete arse. Went tight with about a fifth still to go and i gave up over 2 days of struggle. Watched a vid and discovered the rest of the bead had clipped itself in. Soย  pushed it off, into the rim center and worked it round again. This time it went 90% of the way, tight at the end but a pedros lever helped that little bit pop over and it was done.

Hooray, super relieved ๐Ÿ˜€

Pumped up the tyre(i use tubes), went to make a congratulatory cup of coffee and returned to a flat tyre.

I'd pinched the f*****g tube ๐Ÿ˜ก

A trip out to the lbs, new tube, keeping it inflated this time, and using the new bead in the well technique the tyre went on easy, and no pinch.

It's just down to technique.ย  I also use some fairy liquid in a cup with some water and a small paint brush which helps the bead pop in easier once the tyre is on when inflating it.

Sounds like it's been twisted in a figure of 8, no amount of faffing will make it good. I'd send backย
