Not sure if we've discussed this yet? Seems that the proposals under consideration are not quite Scottish style, but they include extending open access land fully to cyclists and horse riders. I reckon this will pretty much cover everything, since most land that you'd want to ride on is already open access for walkers.
Seems pretty positive at this stage. Although after a quick read of the statement I can't figure out what the next steps are before it becomes legislation.
An independent "Access Reform Group" is being set up to look into how to implement the access proposals. The Junior Minister's statement does say "how" not "whether".
The proposals also extend to opening up ROWs to become "multi use paths". No doubt there will be exceptions and a code of conduct etc. etc.
